The All Progressives Congress (APC) has intensified its grassroots mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections, hosting a high-level Leadership Engagement with ward chairmen in Akwa Ibom State on November 20, 2025.
Delivering the keynote address, Dr.Godwin Umontuen stressed the need for visionary leadership, discipline, strategic coordination, and effective communication to drive meaningful progress at the ward level and reposition the party for electoral success.
He emphasized that strong grassroots structures remain the backbone of any winning political organization.
The interactive forum brought together the full delegation of APC ward chairmen under the leadership of Comrade Edidiong Charles, Chairman of the Forum. Discussions centered on strengthening party organs, improving political participation, and fostering unity across all levels of the APC in the state.
Comrade Charles, in his remarks, reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of ward chairmen to rebuilding and repositioning the party for greater victories. He described the dialogue as constructive, inspiring, and essential to sustaining momentum as the party moves toward 2027.
Among the notable attendees were the member representing Ini State Constituency, Hon. Lawrence Udoideh; Personal Assistant to the Governor on Mobilization, Arc. Ayara Johnson; and Apostle Elijah Jack, who recently defected from the PDP to the APC with over 3,000 supporters. Honourable Ola and other senior government officials also graced the occasion.
The engagement was widely described as productive and forward-looking, setting the stage for deeper collaboration as the APC intensifies preparations for a stronger and more united Akwa Ibom State ahead of future elections.
